When permission is refused or where the Council is taking too long to decide an application we can help. Our current appeal work includes:
- 36 properties (33 flats, 3 houses) and the restoration of a non-designated heritage asset in the centre of Rushden, Northants, which will go to a Hearing in early September;
- Works to regularise a new dwelling in open countryside in rural Northants. The dwelling is one of two that have been constructed incorrectly, both of which were subject to enforcement notices. At the same committee meeting the Council granted permission to regularise works to the neighbouring property but refused the client’s proposals;
- A Class Q barn conversion in the Stratford district, which was refused for allegedly breaching other permitted development rights, and for potential impacts upon nesting birds; and
- A major enforcement case in Central Bedfordshire relating to an extension to a waste transfer station and commercial site.
